How to set different prices by lesson type (teachers)
Lesson types let you charge more, or less, for some one-to-one lessons. For example: "Exam preparation", 50 minutes for $45, beside your standard 50-minute lesson.
How to add a lesson type
- Go to Profile & settings and scroll to Lesson types, below your prices.
- Choose Add a lesson type and give it a name, up to 40 characters.
- Add one or more lengths and set a price for each, from $1 to $1,000.
- Changes save as you go.

Students now see your lesson types on your booking card, above the lesson lengths.
Good to know
- Up to 5 lesson types, each with up to 8 lengths.
- Your standard prices stay as they are. A student who doesn't choose a type books a standard lesson.
- Names are shown exactly as you write them. They aren't translated, and they can't include contact details.
- Prices are fixed at booking. Renaming, repricing or removing a type never changes a lesson already booked.
- One-to-one lessons only, for now. Packages and instant lessons use your standard prices. A weekly series at a lesson type is paid from the student's balance.
- Cancelled lessons: if a lesson type booking is cancelled and your student gets the lesson back, it comes back as a lesson of the same length at your standard price.
