How to delete your account

In the app

Open the KoloLingo app, go to Settings and choose Delete account.

On the web

Sign in at kololingo.com, open your account settings and choose “Delete my account” at the end of the page.

You’re asked to confirm first. Then your account closes straight away and you’re signed out on every device.

If you can’t sign in

Email us and ask us to delete your account. Send the email from the address your account uses, so we know the request is yours.

If you learn on KoloLingo

  • Your name, email address, photo and settings are removed from your account, and it can no longer be signed into.
  • Your conversations with teachers, lesson transcripts and recordings, reviews, course progress, study decks, notifications and block list are erased.
  • Your bookings, orders and wallet history are kept without your name, because the law requires us to keep payment records.

If you teach on KoloLingo

  • Your account’s name, email address and photo are removed, and it can no longer be signed into.
  • Your teaching profile is closed: it is hidden from search and can no longer be booked.
  • Lessons you agreed to teach that haven’t happened yet are cancelled, and your students get their money or lesson credit back.
  • Your past lessons and the reviews written about them are kept, because they are your students’ records too. Your uploaded certificates are deleted.

Money on your account

  • If you teach and have earnings waiting to be paid out, withdraw them first: once your account is deleted there is no way to request them.
  • If your wallet still has money in it, spend it or ask support for a refund first. You can also choose to give it up when you delete your account; it is then recorded as given up and can’t be returned.
  • A negative balance, or money reserved for a lesson that hasn’t happened yet, has to be settled before your account can close.

What we keep, and why

  • Payment records — bookings, orders and wallet entries — stay without your name for as long as the law requires.
  • Support conversations and reports sent to our team stay, so that payment disputes and safety reports can still be resolved.
