How to prepare for your exam on KoloLingo (students)
Exam prep helps you get ready for a language exam: you practise each part of the exam, take full mock tests with the real timings, and go through them with your teacher.
Where you find it
Open My learning and choose Exams.

- Assigned by your teachers: practice a teacher has given you, with their note and the date it's due.
- Your exam paths: every exam you're preparing for, with your latest score in each part.
- Choose an exam: the exams you can prepare for and their levels. Today: DELF A2 and B1, Goethe-Zertifikat A2 and B1, and IELTS Academic.
- Recent practice: your latest tests and how each part went.
Your exam path
Choose a level to open its path.

- Your progress by part: your latest and best score in reading, listening, writing and speaking.
- Your exam date: add it if you have one, and you'll see how many days are left.
- Mock tests: a full test with every part, timed like the exam.
- Practise one part: short sets without a clock, to work on one skill.
- About the exam: each part's name and time as the exam body states them, the pass rule, and a link to where we read each one.
Taking a mock test
- Press Start mock test.
- Each part has its own Start section button. The questions appear and the clock starts only when you press it, so you can take a break between parts.
- Answer the questions. Your answers are saved as you go. You see the time left at the top.
- Press Submit this section when you're done. If the time runs out, the part is handed in with what you saved.
- For speaking, read the task, prepare, then press Record and speak. Press Stop when you have finished: your answer is saved. You can record again; your teacher hears every take you keep. In the app, listen back first and press Save this answer. The first time, your browser or phone asks for permission to use the microphone.

Reading and listening are marked straight away. Writing and speaking are marked by a teacher, so they show Waiting for a teacher until you share the test.
Listening tasks are read aloud by your own device's voice. If your device has no voice for the language, try another browser or update your phone.
Going through it with your teacher
When every part is in, the test is finished. Under Review it with a teacher, choose one of your teachers and press Share.

Your teacher sees your answers and hears your recordings, leaves a comment on each part and gives marks for writing and speaking. When they send their review, you get a notification. Open the test and press See answers under each part to read the comments, the right answers and the listening scripts.
If your teacher gave you the test, it's shared with them automatically when you finish.
Good to know
- The practice material is written by KoloLingo in the format of each exam. It is not official exam material, and a practice score is not an exam result.
- Only you and the teacher you share with can see your answers and hear your recordings. You can stop sharing at any time.
- Recordings are deleted after 180 days. Your scores and your teacher's comments stay.
