How to add carried-over lessons (teachers)

Carried-over lessons let you bring students to KoloLingo without making them pay again for lessons they already paid you for elsewhere.

Who can use it

  • You: a teacher in a school with a signed agreement on KoloLingo.
  • Your student: someone who created their KoloLingo account through your own invitation link, no more than 30 days ago.

Send your link to each student before they sign up. A student who already made an account without your link can't receive carried-over lessons.

How to add them

  1. Go to Students and find Students moving to KoloLingo. Students you can add lessons for are listed there; anyone you can't shows the reason.
  2. Choose Add carried-over lessons next to the student.
  3. Choose the number of lessons (1 to 10) and the lesson length.
  4. Tick that these lessons were already paid for outside KoloLingo, then choose Add lessons.

Your student gets a notification and an email straight away, in their own language.

Good to know

  • Once per student. You can't add more later or take them back, so check the number before saving.
  • Up to 200 lessons in total across all your students.
  • No money moves. KoloLingo takes no payment, fee or commission on these lessons, and they don't appear in your earnings. If a student wants a refund for them, that's between you and the student.
  • They work like other lessons. Your student books them from your calendar. If either of you cancels, the lesson goes back to their balance under the usual rules.
  • They last 180 days from the day you add them.
  • No reviews. Students can't leave a review for these lessons, because reviews are for lessons paid on KoloLingo.
  • They stay with you. Like package lessons, they can't be handed to a colleague with Ask a colleague to cover.
